If you can no longer attend the conference, you may substitute another person for your registration via the registration web site. To do so, enter the registration system with the attendee's registration email, and follow the links to Substitute another individual. Note that late substitutions may not be reflected in the conference badges if they have already been printed. After Aug 22nd, substitutions are still allowed but there will be a $150 fee. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
If you wish to cancel your registration, you may do so for free until July 17th. From July 18th to Aug 22nd, the cancellation fee is $100. After Aug 22, the cancellation fee is $250. Please contact email@example.com.
In the case of loss of venue or other extraordinary circumstances, the conference may be cancelled. In the event of full event cancellation, a best effort attempt will be made to refund 50% of the registration rate to attendees.
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with and follow the code of conduct.
Strange Loop is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, or tabs vs spaces preference. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately. Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your attendance.
We expect participants to follow these rules at all conference venues and conference-related social events.
